Krista Sao (She/Her):

I work with individuals who have a desire for change but are unsure where to start. If you want life to be more fulfilling, but you feel held back by fear, guilt, and/or shame. You’ve engaged in new behaviours but find yourself falling back into old routines that no longer serve you in a purposeful way. You’re exhausted and just simply wish that you knew which direction to take.

I believe that everyone has the ability to create the life that they want, but I also understand that expectations can begin to feel heavy when you lack proper support. Agency is the greatest gift given to us and I want to help you learn how to exercise this gift with confidence. You may not realize it now, but you hold so much power!

Let’s uncover this power together!

I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches, but I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in practice. Holding on to happiness while trying to escape pain will only cause more suffering. You can decrease feelings of distress by learning how to accept difficult times as they come while remaining focused on your values. Learning how to effectively handle pain as another part of living can lead to a rich and meaningful life. My hope for you is that you build a healthier relationship with your experiences and how you process them. As I invite you to step out of your comfort zone, I promise to continually walk alongside you as you engage in self-discovery and healing.

Together we’ll find an approach that’s most suitable for you, moving at a pace that you’ll remain in complete control of.
